This is the bracket that mounts to the bellhousing which supports the clutch cross shaft or "Z" Bar. Includes the pivot stud. Danchuk # 340 will work on any 1955 classic Chevy. Made in the USA.

Note: The 1955 265 V-8 engine did not have a block mounted canister or spin on oil filter. In that year an oil filter was installed as an option remotely. If you are installing a later model V-8 in your '55 you will need to purchase the 1956-1957 bell housing bracket as it is modified to clear the canister or spin on filter. You will also need to change your "Z" bar and replace the tab on the frame, the later model "Z" bar uses a larger diameter pivot stud and it is modified to work with the modified bell housing bracket.
